Designing AI-enabled workflows for regulated healthcare
Role: Product Design Lead
Platforms: Web, iOS, patient-facing applications
Scope: UX/UI, Design System, AI Workflows, Content Design, Motion Video
DappleOS is an end-to-end, scalable system built for next-gen, regulated healthcare. The platform connects clinical, operational and commercial workflows across desktop, mobile and patient-facing applications. Intelligence is embedded at the system level, capturing context, guiding compliance and surfacing real-time revenue opportunities.
As Product Design Lead, I lead UX, from discovery and information architecture through to delivery, release and iteration. I map user flows across multi-role clinical scenarios, solving for handoffs between clinicians, administrators and patients. I created and govern a centralised Figma design system, defining components, interaction patterns and accessibility standards that align design and engineering around shared standards.
Across the organisation, I champion design-led thinking, establishing product processes and operational standards that drive consistency and quality. The challenge is to deliver a product that feels calm and human within a highly regulated medical environment.

AI AS A PRODUCT LAYER
A significant thread of the work has been designing AI-enabled clinical workflows. The design challenge throughout has been balancing AI capability with clinician trust. Every interaction is built around transparency, control and the human-in-the-loop principles that make AI safe to use in regulated medical environments.
I shaped an 'ask AI' experience that lets users build custom reports and surface insights through natural language, removing dependence on technical teams for ad-hoc reporting. I designed AI transcription flows that turn consultation recordings into structured clinical notes, with actionable follow-ups, tasks and appointments surfaced inline for clinicians to review and action directly from the note interface.

regulation
Designing for healthcare requires a deep understanding of how compliance and legal obligations show up in daily practice. Every interaction has to anticipate real requirements, from consent validity to prescribing controls, and surface them at the right moment. The work focused on transforming governance into a driver of performance and growth, embedding safeguards in ways that strengthen trust and efficiency. WCAG-aligned accessibility is embedded across components, patterns and product work, ensuring equitable access for clinicians and patients across ability and context.

DESIGN THINKING
My work on DappleOS has been grounded in systems thinking, mapping entities, user roles, task hierarchies and information architecture to understand how decisions ripple across the platform. I design for dependencies, edge cases and multi-role handoffs, building experiences that stay coherent and resilient as the product scales.
